Get a grip on Gonzales

It is clear to me that there is one and only one reason Bush is hanging on to Gonzales no matter how beat up he becomes. There is not one other person in the world who will protect W from a dam-burst of exposure to illegal activity in the White House. After watching Ashcroft and crew coming to appear as heroes in the face of the illegal wiretapping, I've got to believe that there are plenty of people in the Justice Department who would love to shed the stink of the Bush administration. Without Gonzales, Bush would have no choice but to find a replacement who would at least open the door to sanity. Could I really be thinking I'd be happy to bring back the likes of Ashcroft? I believe that without Gonzales, Rove will be toast, and eventually Cheney as well.

Congress... keep up the pressure.
